Heraclitus famously said that ‘change is the only constant in life’. And he’s right if you couple change with death and taxes! However, as HR professionals we often get hung up on delivering a totally perfected ‘change programme’ complete with definitive start and finish times. Quite clearly life doesn’t work like that. It’s ever-evolving and requires people to display a certain degree of resilience and fluidity to adapt.

Whether we’re rolling out a new system, responding to a technological innovation or preparing for a changing workforce demographic, we’re always going to find ourselves in a period of transformation. As HR leaders we need to ensure that we’re operating authentically in the face of change and setting realistic expectations with candidates and employees that we’re taking on the journey. 

Given that change is a certainty, how can we boost employee engagement levels and ensure that our colleagues want to deliver that all-important ‘discretionary effort’. Join us at this HR Leadership Think Tank, hosted by the RNIB, to discuss further and explore the areas listed below:
