RTT – Talent Acquisition Vs. Marketing: Are Recruiters Simply Marketers That ‘Sell’ Job Opportunities?
June 13 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am| Free
Join us at this Resourcing Think Tank to debate whether recruiters are simply marketers that ‘sell’ job opportunities, AND what, as recruitment professionals, we need to do to ensure we’re not being set up for failure!
Hosted by Rachel Howard, Head of Talent Acquisition at Which?
Businesses are increasingly embracing the concept that recruiters should be thinking and behaving more like marketers, and rightfully so. Afterall, there are numerous parallels with selling products / services, and selling job opportunities / employers. However, there is one stark difference. Typically, marketing functions receive suitable training and funding to enable the effective promotion of whatever it is that they’re selling, vs. recruitment teams who are often left ill-equipped to deliver at the level that’s expected by the business.
At this Resourcing Think Tank, hosted by Which?, we will be posing the question ‘are recruiters simply marketers that sell job opportunities?’ and breaking down the components needed to operate effectively in a recruitment marketing capacity.
More specifically we’ll be addressing the following:
- Becoming recognised and respected by the wider business as a marketing-lead function
- Securing the buy-in and resources to leverage recruitment like marketing
- Upskilling your existing recruitment team to adapt to marketing principles
- Utilising recruitment marketing tactics and tools
- Working in partnership with marketing and social teams
