R&MTT – Gender Pay Gap Review
April 30, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm| Free
Hosted by Paula Hayes (Head of Reward & Benefits) and Mustafa Faruqi (Head of Industrial Relations)
The Gender Pay Gap is one of the hottest topics in Great Britain right now. All companies with over 250 employees are required to report their Gender Pay Gap data to the Government Equalities Office (GEO) by the 4th April. Organisations are responsible for calculating their own Gender Pay Gaps and as such no real fact checking has been conducted by the GEO, leading to a level of doubt with regards the reliability and accuracy of the reports. With the expectation of high scrutiny from the public and business’s own employees; ‘what to do’ following the publishing of data is at the top of many company’s HR agendas.
At this Reward Think Tank hosted by Network Rail, we’ll be exploring the critical questions that Reward and HR teams are facing about the Gender Pay Gap. We’ll be discussing the following points…
How can we balance the Gender Pay Gap with the concept of Equal Pay?
What is most important when interpreting and communicating the key findings to various stakeholders within the business?
What concerns do companies have regarding the response of their wider employees, and how do they plan to respond to those concerns?
What proactive steps can be taken before Gender Pay Gap data is reported to help maintain employee engagement?
How can we measure the success of these initiatives?
