According to research, 95% of people who have had a negative experience with a company will tell others about it (often via social media). This is no different for recruitment. CareerArc tells us that around 60% of job seekers have had a poor candidate experience. Alarming when you consider the reputational and commercial damage that is likely to follow.
Many of us will be addressing candidate experience because we’re trying to fix an existing problem; because it just ‘feels like the right thing to do’; or because we’ve recently implemented a new system (who doesn’t love a blank canvas!) Whichever the reason, looking at your candidate journeys, communication points and personalised touches is a very smart move.
