HR and Recruitment Coordinator – £26k-£28k – Cannon Street

A professional services company with a headcount of 500 are looking for an HR and Recruitment Coordinator to join their HR team of 5 on a 6 month FTC to help out with HR related tasks. The team are collaborative and supportive, they have a great culture in HR. Standards are high and they take pride in their work but also have a social side.

You will be engaged in a broad scope of Human Resource activities, supporting employees, contractors and managers (up to Board level), across all lines of business within the group.

You would be dealing with employees from entry level to senior management and board level which means that you will need to be able to adapt your style and present yourself in an articulate manner, building rapport with people who may initially be daunting to you.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Creation of employee personnel files (in both electronic and paper format) as new hires join the business.

  • Filing of all employee related documentation (in both electronic and paper format as relevant) within employee personnel files

  • Responding to all reference requests received from external third parties, in a timely manner

  • Drafting of Offer Letters & Contracts or Employment

  • Issuing ‘New Starter Packs’

  • Supporting Human Resources Business Partners by means of minute taking at formal meetings, including Employee Grievance Meetings, Employee Disciplinary Meetings, Performance Management Meetings, Flexible Working Meeting

  • Support the Recruitment Manager with interview coordination and inbox management

  • Use of Excel – prior knowledge of vlookups and pivot tables would be highly beneficial

  • L&D administration including scheduling training sessions and liaising with external training providers

Only candidates with a can-do attitude and with a genuine passion for HR should apply. Excellent attention to detail is also non-negotiable – you should be the type of person who always spots typos and spelling mistakes. You will be obsessed with getting things right! You will need to be prepared to go above and beyond expectations in this role and while working hours are 9 – 5.30, if you interested in taking on additional responsibilities/projects you may need to so some additional hours during busy periods.
