Interim HR Consultant

Interim HR Consultant – 8 months contract – £500 a day – London

An Investment Bank based in the City are looking for a ‘heavy hitting’ HR Consultant with a full generalist background to support all areas of the business within a fast-paced environment.
The HR Consultant will provide a proactive service on HR related matters including Resourcing, Learning and Development and Employee Relations.

It is essential that in order to provide this service, the individual needs to be technically competent with IT systems and the regulatory environment, as well as being an integral part of the overall HR Team.

Interim HR Consultant – 8 months contract – £500 a day – London

Key aspects of the role:

  • Understanding company policies and procedures and giving guidance to managers and employees
  • Managing employee relations situations to resolve internal conflicts
  • Provide advice and guidance on disciplinary and grievance situations
  • Provide guidance and support to employees under stress or suffering poor health
  • Conducting and administering exit interviews
  • Provide assistance in delivering a resourcing solution for all levels of recruitment from Junior to Senior, across all areas of the business
  • Provide assistance in delivering resourcing solutions for temporary/contractor worker requirements
  • Managing and liaising with employees and management to provide effective solutions to flexible working requests
  • Administration and management of role profiles/descriptions
  • Provide support to company diversity and inclusion initiatives

Skills and experience:

  • Track record in an HR Consultant/Partner/Manager role within a highly regulated corporate environment
  • Adaptable and have the flexibility to meet business requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of SM&CR
  • Strong practical working knowledge of employment law and the FCA
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Experience of HR implementations is highly desirable
