Interim HR Shared Services Team Lead

Interim HR Shared Services Team Lead – Uxbridge – 12 months contract – Up to £200 a day

Reporting into the Director of Shared Services, the role is to oversee a team of 6 HR Administrators and support them in their day to day work and you will focus on process improvement, supporting change management across the HR function and delivering on key projects.

You will be accountable to deliver a high quality customer centric service across 25 European countries to both internal and external users.
This is a hands-on position and you need be able to thrive in a fast paced busy environment, have a flexible ‘can do’ approach and work hand in hand with your team to deliver results in a pragmatic way. You will bring an In-depth understanding of running an HR Operations Shared Service, with a strong customer service ethos.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:
* People management of the 1st Line HR Operations team (currently 6 direct reports)
o Manage timekeeping and attendance, ensuring operational cover during opening hours
o Set and review individual and team performance through objective setting and regular performance check-in’s
o Onboarding of new team members
o Monitoring the effectiveness of individual team members
o Undertake training needs analysis and implementing solutions
o Mentoring
* Task Management
o Manage workflow
o Ensure customer service standards are adhered to
o Provide knowledge and support to administrators in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislation
o Ensure team achieve high levels of accuracy by completing regular QA checks
o Undertake regular audits to ensure data integrity
o Ensuring processes are completed professionally and timely
o Analyse helpdesk data to identify trends and common queries
o Establish and adhere to KPI’s, Metrics and SLA’s within the team
o Make recommendations on process improvements, and roll out as agreed
o Provide Subject Matter expertise in HR processes, policies and tools
o Drive HR projects aligned to the team
o Participate in the on-going evolution of the HR Operations organisation in terms of values, operations and service delivery

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
* You must be able to work in a fast-paced, complex, hands-on environment, with the ability to manage workload efficiently.
* Experience operating in a Global Matrix organisation
* Experience of working within a Change environment would be highly advantageous
* Strong Senior Stakeholder and Senior Executive management skills
* The ideal candidate will be influential, proactive and have excellent communication skills
* Experience of either managing a team in a Shared Service Centre or similar environment
* People Management & Mentoring ability
* Experience of working to achieve service level agreements and key performance indicators within a contact centre or similar environment
* Excellent organisational skills demonstrated by the ability to manage large and complex workloads within agreed timescales whilst maintaining accuracy
* Contract/vendor and service delivery management experience
* Ability to prioritise workloads under a high pressure, autonomous environment
* Ability to work in a flexible manner to meet operational needs
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and to meet tight deadlines
* Familiarity and understanding of general HR policies and procedures
* Strong Customer Service orientation while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentially with each interaction
* Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and telephone communication skills
* Ability to identify critical situations and take action to escalate per a given process or circumstance
* Effective team-working orientation and skills
* Ability to multitask yet remains detailed-oriented with sound time management skills.
* Must be able to perform job responsibilities and duties under minimal supervision
* Must possess strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
* Experience with Workday a plus
* Fluency in English (mandatory), and an additional European language (Spanish, French, German or Italian) is ideal.
