Interim L&D Business Partner

Interim Learning & Development Business Partner – 6 Month FTC – Up to £70k pro-rata – London

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, you will work in partnership with the L&D team and broader HR team to implement the global learning strategy that drives the execution of learning across the business. The Business Partner will enable the overall Learning Strategy and deliver learning solutions which support the strategic priorities and reinforce the company culture and values.
This role partners closely with the technical functions of the business and has responsibility for ensuring they get the learning and development opportunities needed to help them continue to perform highly. This role is considered to be the subject matter expert when it comes to technical training in the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with HR business partners, Strategic Partners and key learning stakeholders throughout the organisation to understand and deliver upon the learning needs that closely align with company goals
  • Enable the development and delivery of learning solutions across the organisation, which support the Learning, Exposure and Experience learning methodology. Know how to mix classroom, digital and blended solutions to provide the best outcomes
  • Own and manage relationships with third-party learning suppliers and establish strong partnerships which are beneficial to the wider group companies
  • Make budget recommendations for annual budget planning to meet technical learning needs and ensure that resources are managed adequately so that budget targets are met
  • Measure the impact of learning initiatives and ensure that internal and external providers provide relevant and cost-effective learning solutions
  • Be proactive in publicising the technical opportunities which are available internally, and also promoting events and workshops that take place in order to enhance the brand proposition
  • Lead and implement just-in-time programmes that align with agile ways of working

Skills and experience required
You’re an experienced learning practitioner with wide experience across the field of learning, especially related to technical learning. Other skills include:

  • Able to talk credibly with clients in the business, ask questions, challenge, and know a lot about what makes good learning
  • Experienced with identifying learning objectives, designing and delivering classroom-based training and workshops
  • Experience in coordinating and developing a team of learning experts to deliver high-level learning experiences within budget and against tight timelines
  • Strong leadership capability and personal organisation skills; able to understand complex problems and create innovative ways to drive learning solutions
  • Wide experience of building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to support the efficient and effective delivery of learning projects and solutions
  • Passionate about learning and helping people learn and develop in a variety of formats and through various platforms
  • Ability to partner with the technical leads, quickly understand their needs and work with them and third-party suppliers to deliver the right learning
