**Relocation to Berlin is required**

Our client is high profile exciting fast-growth organisation currently expanding from a European to a global footprint. Following hundreds of millions of investment and the creation of its senior leadership team to facilitate this growth they are now looking to hire a Lead People Partner / Senior HR Business Partner. This role is based in Berlin but there is no language requirement as English is the global businesses language. Berlin is an amazing city and has a vibrant culture and startup community as well as a lower cost of living compared to London.

Reporting to the VP of HR, this role provides a key interface between the People function and the rest of this great tech organisation. The Lead People Partner will own the People Plan for two key technology business area and ensure that the plan is aligned to companies strategic direction and values.

They will partner with key stakeholders to ensure that their areas of the business, Engineering and Product, have the optimal organisational structures, processes and policies in place, as well as the capability to attract, develop and retain the best talent to enable the functions to achieve their strategies. They will support the next stage of the businesses global growth both organically and through acquisitions.

They will be accountable for leading the roll-out of HR processes efficiently and effectively, for example, performance management, retention and engagement strategies, talent planning and learning & development. They will oversee workforce planning, recruitment and the embedding of the global culture and ways of working as well as being responsible for managing people risks and continuous improvement in their functional area.

Candidates need to evidence their success of business partnering in a fast-growth environment without all of the systems, processes and support you’d expect in an established business. They will be implementing these.

  • Previous experience within a start-up/fast-growth environment

  • Extensive experience around the tech sector

  • Strategically & Commercially focused

  • Be willing to relocate to Berlin

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a strategic and commercial sounding board and advisor to the VP of Engineering and the VP of Product and their leadership teams.

  • Align the heritage workforce, newly joined and acquisitions to shape the business and create a positive culture at a local level to meet the strategic aspirations of the business as it evolves globally.

  • Assess existing talent and identify areas for investment and people development to meet the future needs of the business.

  • Identifying and managing retention risks and succession planning.
