Oasis HR Shortlisted for an Employee Engagement Award

EE Award LogoWe are delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for an Employee Engagement Award within the category of ‘Engagement Project of the Year (Private Sector: 0-50 employees)’. Results of the inaugural EE Awards will be revealed on 28th January 2015 at a ceremony being held at the Brewery, London.

The nomination follows the implementation of our engagement strategy in late 2013 and the impact it’s had on our sales performance, staff retention and overall engagement levels. Our engagement programme is comprised of three core elements which are run simultaneously to:

  • Provide employee incentivisation
  • Keep staff informed of company developments
  • Ensure outstanding behaviour is recognised and rewarded
  • Offer an outlet for feedback
  • Promote a sense of team spirit.

The EE Awards, in their first year, strive to represent industry ‘game-changers’ and businesses who put their workforces at the centre of their operations. Fellow nominees span all industry sectors and include companies such as Sony Music Entertainment, Transport for London, EDF Energy and Cancer Research UK.

Mark Barnicoat, Managing Director of Oasis HR comments:

“The welfare and satisfaction of my employees is something I take very seriously. When my business partner and I started Oasis HR in 2004, creating a fun and collaborative place to work was very high on our agenda. Whilst all the evidence highlights the impact of an engaged workforce on the bottom line, the other more intangible benefits of building a highly engaged and motivated team are equally as important. Being shortlisted for an Employee Engagement Award, alongside some incredibly established businesses, is very humbling and I look forward to taking the team to the Brewery in January for the unveiling!”

Matt Manners, Managing Director of The Employee Engagement Awards comments:

“We are excited by the calibre of businesses and finalists we have in our first year. Each (in their own way) is an example to every other business in the UK that aspires to engage better with their employees and realising the extensive payoffs. Such as happier employees, deeper bonds of loyalty, greater efficiency, better wellbeing and providing an enhanced customer experience. To say I am excited to see who wins each category come January is an understatement.”

Furthermore, with expectation-busting entries in its first year, The Employee Engagement Awards will be donating 5% of its proceeds to charity. Entrants have had a direct a say on where it will go and the charities to choose from were:

  • Action for Children
  • Help for Heroes
  • Orphans for Orphans
  • MacMillan Cancer Nurses
  • Shelter
  • RNLI
  • The Alzheimer’s Society
